ART operates to provide a global acceptance for safe rebreather practices. We are not a training agency and do not provide certification at this time. Those looking for certification should consider employing one of ART’s approved trainers with the assurance they are the best in the business and go beyond the minimum class requirements when training rebreather divers via their chosen Agency.
Our focus is on reaching a common goal, to produce safer Rebreather divers all over the world. Many well-run training agencies exist and offer certification courses on a wide range of commercially available rebreathers.
All ART Approved Trainers follow our guidelines up and above meeting their recognized agency standards and procedures. We provide supplementary training materials available prior, during and after your training.
Since the late 1990’s Rebreathers have exploded in popularity with many new units brought to the sport diving market. We have come a long way in the last few years with rebreather manufactures, software developers and additional component suppliers all working at making this sport safer. We believe that training is a very personal affair therefore it is not our idea to lay down the law but rather to maintain a set of standards and procedures consistent with safe diving practices specifically focused for the rebreather diver.
If you are an existing rebreather trainer operating under an existing agency and would like to find out more about becoming recognised by the Association of Rebreather Training please email membership@association-rebreather-training.com
